New Teen Class Added to the Schedule
16/01/12 20:15
Starting Friday, January 20, North Texas Aikido will be adding a Teen class to the schedule. All our teens are especially encouraged to attend this new class, specifically designed to address the training needs of our youth as they mature in rank (and size).
Holiday Class Schedule
17/12/11 07:38
Please note that the Dojo will be CLOSED Saturday, December 24 through Saturday December 31 for the holidays. There will be New Year's Day training and Pot-Luck at 10am for those interested in attending.
It's HOT!
21/08/11 16:30
For the safety and comfort of our students, North Texas Aikido will occasionally cancel evening classes when the weather warrants a Heat Advisory or Warning. With this summer's near-record-breaking streak of 100+ degree days, it should come as little surprise that the dojo has seen many such cancellations lately. (It's been as hot as 107 inside at the start of class time.)
To offset these cancellations, Sensei has temporarily* added an increasingly popular weekday morning class at 6:30am. Come start off your weekday with some Aikido training before work or school. Bring a towel and take advantage of our shower facilities before heading off to your regularly-scheduled life outside the dojo.
Always check the Dojo's Twitter updates via the Twitter Feed directly on the right on our NEWS page, or via your favorite Twitter client for the latest information about the availability of these short-term classes or evening cancelations.
*As Sensei has been fond of saying, "It's only temporary, unless it works." The best way to ensure that the early morning classes continue beyond the current heat wave is via your participation and enthusiasm.
